Casting is underway for the new Stephen King series "Haven," and a star has been chosen.

Emily Rose, who had a recurring role in the cult CBS series "Jericho," will play FBI agent Audrey Parker, who is tasked to investigate a murder in Haven, Maine, only to find herself entangled in the supernatural activity that takes place there, according to Variety.

Rose played Trish Merritt on "Jericho" for five episodes, including "Condor" and "Termination For Cause." She also had recurring roles in series such as "Brothers & Sisters" on ABC, "John From Cincinnati," and "ER."

Syfy announced it was producing the series last November, which will mark the first project planned to be made available around the world. The 13 episodes are based on the King novella "The Colorado Kid," and is set to go in production in the spring.
