The cast seem to think it has a chance of returning even though the majority of "Heroes" fans have already given up on the series ... but do the ratings support their optimism?
Well, the short version is No.
After hitting rock bottom for two consecutive weeks in a row "Heroes" has proved his has the ability to go even lower and fails to come anywhere near the ratings being gathered by the return of "Chuck."
According to Fast National ratings from The Nielsen Co., "Heroes" earned a 2.4 rating/4 share. That is more than 17 percent off its premiere in the 9 p.m. slot and now marks a new all-time low for the series, not to mention NBC's lowest rated show.
If "Heroes" ever needed a miracle, it would be now.
Meanwhile, "Chuck" dropped a little from its third season premiere last week, raking in a rating of 3.9/6. This is almost a 10% drop from the previous week and is on a similar scale to the ratings the series earned during its sophmore season.
