If this was really planned by ABC, then they must've been out for more than two minutes and 17 seconds.

The network, along with Warner Bros. Television, decided to break production of its new series "FlashForward" a week sooner than expected. The network says the planned stoppage was needed to help work through some story issues that apparently came up recently.

"FlashForward" is having an OK premiere season so far, although its audience continues to slip each week.

The current episodes are under the control of series co-developer David S. Goyer, who took over showrunning duties over the last several weeks.
