Natalie Cole’s Family Outraged Over ‘Disrespectful’ Grammys Tribute


Cole – whose hits include “Unforgettable”, “Our Love” and “This Will Be” – had battled drug problems in the past and spent six months in rehab in 1983, a topic which Cole had written frankly about in her 2000 memoir “Angel On My Shoulder”.The family of Natalie Cole have expressed their “utter disappointment” at what they have branded a “disrespectful tribute” to the late singer at the Grammy Awards.While Glenn Frey, Motorhead singer Lemmy Kilmister, B.B. King, Earth, Wind & Fire’s Maurice White and David Bowie were all remembered in separate musical segments, the “Unforgettable” singer, who won nine Grammy Awards, was not.Timolin Cole and Casey Cole told Entertainment Tonight that her sister received a “forgettable” tribute from the Academy.
