Adm. Adama, Capt. Jack Battle It Out For Best Episode Of 200

This past year, Airlock Alpha reviewed some 200 television episodes, so trying to pick the five best from that group is not an easy task.

Yet we asked the site's staff to do just that. Look through what was 2009 on television, pick the best, and then, pick the best of the best. And we came up with an interesting list.

I cannot disagree with any of this list.

The end of Lost left me salivating for more.

The Waters of Mars was a triumph of darkness and a huge return to form for the specials after some lackluster predecessors.

Battlestar Galactica I feel could have had may episodes in the list, I think BSG is the greatest SciFi series made (so far) and never pulled any punches (and adored the nod to the original series when sending the fleet towards the sun).

Children of Earth was an incredible 5 days of TV, Torchwood had always been pretty good but never reached a peak I thought. When I heard that this series would be reduced to a 5 episode arc, I thought it was the beginning of the end but boy was I wrong. CoE is amongst the greatest drama television ever made by the BBC. You can put aside that this is a SciFi series, the gripping drama and towering performance by Peter Capaldi puts this up there with the best of the best. And tears? By the bucketload!!!!!
